The Frontenac Club, located in the heart of Kingston’s historic downtown, is a block from Lake Ontario and close to Queen’s University. It’s a short walk to 1000 Islands Cruises and boat tours, theaters, restaurants (from informal to gourmet), great independent shops, art galleries, museums and the Leon’s Centre.
As a boutique hotel, this building has been standing since before Confederation. Historical elements found within the walls include stunning stonework, love letters, old coins, magazines, and many more items which are displayed throughout the site. The hotel boasts a contemporary yet elegant style with each space within the club; a curated experience with a story.
I have had the pleasure to experience this beautiful space on a few occasions, when friends of mine visiting from Oakville, stayed here. It is their go-to. It is just something one has to experience to understand. The history, the style and thought put into every storied space is incredibly unique. It is a must “do” if you want to visit Kingston in a stately way, with everything at your fingertips, at least once.
